AUTOCOLES is a line of work that has been carried out by Basurama in ten or so schools over the last 4 years. It is based on a ludic and collective transformation of education spaces, mostly playgrounds. It is both a pedagogical project and a project to kit out and collectively build play infrastructures in these spaces that make us reconsider how we relate to them. The aim is to revalue teaching spaces, generating during the process a feeling of belonging and affection among the users, under conditions of equality and diversity. The proposal is about self-construction using minimum resources and materials.
BASURAMA is a collective that is dedicated to cultural and environmental research, production and creation, founded in 2001. It has focussed its study and action area around productive processes, the waste generated by these processes, and the creative possibilities prompted by these contemporary circumstances.
