MERMA (CARA B) researches the aesthetic and formal potential of bamboo, using production remains from other projects. Bamboo is a material that represents a sustainable alternative to plastic as it is fast-growing and has a high CO2 absorption rate during its life cycle, as well as requiring little energy for processing. The size and shape restrictions of bamboo cane and particularly of these remains, can be used to freely create aesthetic or functional objects.
BAMBUSA ESTUDIO are specialists in the design and construction of bamboo structures. We have great faith in the potential of bamboo as a responsible alternative to wood. We search for new uses and solutions for this incredible material.
