Often the money that a public space allocates to furniture involves a long and tedious administrative process, with the end result of obtaining resources that do not fit the real needs. For this reason, we have set up the HABITAT project at the MakerConvent, to teach young people that there are other ways of designing furniture and licensing their use and construction and to create elements for common spaces at the Civic Centre that favour relational aspects and sharing.

MAKERCONVENT is an informal learning space that offers an introduction to new digital tools for creation, prototyping and production. Its main appeal is that it is located in the Convent of San Agustí Civic Centre and that all the work done is open to the general public and for the neighbourhood. A learning environment where children, adolescents, adults and older people can play, design and create together.
